D-Joust is the hottest urban talent competition for fresh upcoming DJs. Since our first D-Joust
competition in 2005, the competition has grown in size and status.
Our mission is simple: to unearth the UK and Europe’s breakthrough unsigned DJ talent,
providing a platform for tomorrow’s top club DJs to set the decks on fire and show the world what
they’ve got through a series of live knockout contests.
Heat winners are judged by a panel of seasoned music professionals and runners up are selected by a
public vote: the finalists then face each other and the judges to decide who’s the best DJ and the
D-Joust Champion!!
2007’s D-Joust took the competition to the masses in every sense of the word, with a ten- fold
increase on the previous year in awesome, untapped UK and European talent. DJs and clubbers from
across the UK and Europe are joining the D-Joust revolution as news of the fierce competition
spreads. Previous winners Janette Slack and Dr Fish are steaming ahead in the industry, already
making names for themselves in an international circuit, rubbing decks with the world’s hottest
DJs and producers.
And it’s not just the winners that benefit from being part of the D-Joust experience, many other
contenders who haven’t grabbed the top spot on the night, have received recognition, gained invaluable
contacts, and generated a loyal following as a result of being part of D-Joust.
D-Joust is organised and run by Fruityloopy Promotions, the team work according to 2 core values:
